Chairman
Richard Footitt - Public Interest
Richard is a former senior civil servant with many years' experience of policy and implementation in particular in housing and local government. He has also worked closely with the Audit Commission and with the national Inspectorates on performance frameworks and measurement.

Jenny Crook - Public Interest
A Sociology graduate from London School of Economics and Political Science, Jenny has worked for many years in social housing, has always taken an interest in consumer affairs and is currently a regional committee member of Postwatch – the consumer body for postal affairs. She is also a lay magistrate specialising in the work of the youth and family courts.
Mervyn Pilley – Council Of Property Search Organisations
Recently appointed as Chair and Chief Executive of CoPSO, Mervyn is a qualified accountant , business development and membership organisation specialist. He has held a lifelong interest in raising levels of professionalism, establishing training schemes and continuing personal development. As well as assisting in the creation and development of many professional bodies Mervyn has also previously run various small businesses.
Mike Ockenden - Association of HIP Providers (AHIPP)
Mike has many years experience in the UK residential property market, ran Barclays Mortgage business in the 1990s and was a founder shareholder and director of MyHomeMove conveyancing. He has been Director General of the Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP) since September 2005 and was instrumental in setting up the HIP Code.
Marion Palmann – Council of Licensed Conveyancers (CLC)
Marion practised as a solicitor in London and East Anglia for several years before becoming a director of a property conveyancing company based in Peterborough. She has served as a member of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers for the last twelve years and also serves on the Land Registry Rule Committee.
Dr Peter Williams - Public Interest
Previously Deputy Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Peter is a consultant working in the areas of housing finance, markets and policy. He has undertaken assignments for lenders, trade associations and service providers, central and local government and academic institutions and currently provides contracted services to the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (as Executive Director), Acadametrics (the FT House Price Index) and is a Board Member of the Government’s National Housing and Planning Advice Unit, Stonehaven UK Ltd and Consult CIH and Chairman of Thames Valley Housing Association.
